Candy Bar Kid - A bittersweet urban story of innocence and darkness.

"I can't share this moment with anyone. When I want my treat, I go to my special place, where no - one can see. And when I'm there it don't matter that the city is so bitter because no one can touch me, its just me and my candy….Sweet."

This 3 minute short was written and directed by Glaswegian Shan Khan and produced by Benjamin Johns of Eye-Cue Films, with Edinburgh-based Paul Gavin as Director of Photography.

Filmed on the streets of London, 'Candy Bar Kid' is writer Shan Khan's first film, and will be part of a trilogy based on the theme of sex, drugs and rock & roll. Khan, whose award-winning drama 'Office' premiered at last year's Edinburgh International Festival to wide acclaim, insists that the film portrays raw street life in any European city today.

Camera, grip and lighting kit was supplied by VFG Manchester, processing by Soho Images, neg cutting by Computamatch, mixing by DB Post, and titles by Frameline.
